May 9 - Yard sale to benefit Calicos Haven, a non-profit organization using horses as therapy for youth at risk. Yard sale will be a community wide sale at the South Iredell Lions Club at the corner of Williamston Road and Brawley School Road in Mooresville. The sale will start at 8:00 a.m. and last until 1:00 p.m.

February 7 - Union County Saddle Club Coggins & vacination Clinic- Dr. Robin Smith will be taking blood samples for Coggins test and offring vacinations for large and small animals for a fee at the Union County Saddle Club show grounds in Monroe. February 9- NCHC winter seminar regarding Horseshoeing. In conjunction with The NC Horse Shoer's Ass. the seminar will cover hoof care, shoe fit, differents shoes, hoof balance, and common hoof problems.
