The NC Horse Council is conducting the festival as a benefit horse show with the proceeds going to grants and scholarships. Membership Drive: The North Horse Council is conducting it's annual membership drive for 2009. According to the Council, North Carolina is the 8th in the nation for number of horses. The City League Show Jumping Semi-Finals will be held at F.E.N.C.E. in Tryon, NC. Teams have been competing since the spring to qualify for the Semi-Finals. Cheer on the Greensboro Team at this fun filled event. Johnny Barker and Harold Chopping lead the Greensboro team in this exciting competition of show jumpers. In conjunction with The NC Horse Shoer's Ass. the seminar will cover hoof care, shoe fit, differents shoes, hoof balance, and common hoof problems.
