Membership Drive: The North Horse Council is conducting it's annual membership drive for 2009.  According to the Council, North Carolina is the 8th in the nation for number of horses. It's time for the Semi-Finals for the City League International Show Jumping Competition!  Cheer the the local teams of Spartanburg, Asheville, and Greenville on to victory at the Semi-Finals to be held at F.E.N.C.E. in Tryon, N.C.  Teams have been competing since spring to qualify to compete in the semi-finals.  Cheer your favorite team to victory at this exciting show jumping competition. FENCE Garage Sale: Need to clean out your garage, attic, or closet? Now is the time- and you make money in the bargain. You can rent a stall for $20 (plus a refundable $10 clean up deposit).  You keep all the proceeds from your sales.  So sign up for a stall to display your treasures and help FENCE at the same time! Feb.9- NCHC winter seminar regarding Horseshoeing. In conjunction with The NC Horse Shoer's Ass. the seminar will cover hoof care, shoe fit, differents shoes, hoof balance, and common  hoof problems.  Seminar will be heldat the Martin Building, State fairgrounds in Raleigh from 9 am - 12 pm.  Fee is $25.
