Don't miss the Southern Horse Festival at the Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston. The NC Horse Council is conducting the festival as a benefit horse show with the proceeds going to grants and scholarships. It's time for the Semi-Finals for the City League International Show Jumping Competition!  Cheer the Wilmington City League team on to victory at the Semi-Finals to be held at F.E.N.C.E. inTryon, N.C. Membership Drive: The North Horse Council is conducting it's annual membership drive for 2009.  According to the Council, North Carolina is the 8th in the nation for number of horses. February 9- NCHC winter seminar regarding Horseshoeing. In conjunction with The NC Horse Shoer's Ass. the seminar will cover hoof care, shoe fit, differents shoes, hoof balance, and common  hoof problems.  Seminar will be heldat the Martin Building, State fairgrounds in Raleigh from 9 am - 12 pm.  Fee is $25.
